In the last 2 weeks in going to 3 different banks for half dollars. They said they had some large dollars. They were Ike dollars I picked up 22 at face value. So my question is are they worth keeping? No S mint. At face I think I'll just save them for my grandkids to find someday. If you all find them do you save them regardless of condition?

Generally speaking, they are worth very little premium, maybe 20 cents.

Every once in a while, you find a neat variety. There is a ton of information around about them. I like to pass them to young people (relatives and friends) to get them interested in the hobby.

All Ikes are keepers, but I admit bias.

Saving them for your grandchildren is a good idea.

I also carry one as a pocket piece, got from the bank in relatively uncirculated condition.

@jbuck, they are all keepers! I have only spent one, because I like them so much! I also don't have that many, just shy of 2 $20 rolls worth(not all are in rolls, a # of them are in 2x2's and not all were acquired at face value. A 1971 s or a 1776-1976 proof for ex.)
