I have a few coins that seem to have scratches and are the coins up bad but I have done a little research and found we're they could be done at mint I'm just now beginning to get into coins also I was wondering if the coin (s) I have happen to be of the 1982 d small date

Coins with minor errors are much better collected, not sold to anyone.

They are the 'hardware' of your study and collection, and a way of developing your numismatic identification skills.

Both pics show a large date. Feel free to use the search box upper left of page for info and photos to help you. As to selling coins,eBay would be your best bet for low value coins and Heritage Auctions for high value coins.

both are large dates, it is hard to see the number 2 clearly due to such a small image, the gap from the tail of the 2 to the rim is small, which equates to a large date.
