Going thru my coin books I see there are slots for 1982 and 1982-D small date and large date for copper and then more slots for zinc. I can tell the large date from small date rather easy, however how can you tell the differance between copper and zinc? Is it by color or weight? What one weighs more?

Thanks....Tim

if they are circulated then just drop them on a table from a few inches up. that difference in the sound of copper and zinc is unmistakable.
