Can anyone suggest best methods to valuing and selling detailed graded coins? I have about 20 UNC and AU Morgans (improperly cleaned seems to be the most common issue), Is ebay the best method ? Great Collections ?

Sell 'em like any other coin, just have measured expectations... less money (they're going to sell for quite a bit less than straight-graded coins) and be more difficult to sell.

For key dates, look at Heritage's weekly internet-only auctions (I irreverently refer to them as the scratch&dent auctions). To my knowledge, that's the most concentrated venue. ebay too.

Depends how much damage has been done by the cleaning.

- expect them to sell for anywhere between ASW bullion value, up to about 30% of the premium above ASW BV for a non details.

I'll buy older 'cleaned' coins for my type set as long as they are not harshly cleaned or scratched up. Details coins in slabs, I have zero problems breaking out for an album. I'm sure others do the same to fill a hole.

The 1869 Seated dollar in my 7070 fits that description.
