For those of you following along in my other thread here is my favorite cent in the two rolls I went through. Thoughts on grade? Not sure if an Acetone dip would help with the smudge looking thing on the reverse but otherwise it is really nice. No bag marks at all really, as far as I could tell.

Too much glare to see surface details clearly.

lose the flash or direct lighting cannot assess the surfaces

focus is a bit soft, I'd estimate MS-66 as well

No flash was used. This coin just shines! Even with diffused light it's hard to get the luster dialed down enough without doing a weird angle but then I'm not straight above the coin...tough.

i did some editing on my phone but its not sophisticated enough to really reduce that glare. what it does show is some field discoloration especially on the reverse. I dont think acetone will do anything to that. the coin otherwise looks pretty clean. i'll go with the others at MS66RD. I dont think the fields are clean enough to pull anything higher. still a nice coin

Nice coin. It's very difficult to find a 1955-S Cent without some weakness somewhere.

I agree it could go MS-66.

@Buffalo I went through 3 rolls, 150 cents, and this is literally the only one I'd say has a chance at over MS65

I can't read the surfaces/luster at all. Most likely around 63-65RD.

I just realized that these images look insanely different on my desktop versus when I upload on my phone. On my desktop they are all blown up and seemingly distorted. Weird.
