Hi, another coin from the collection I inherited, am trying to sort out. Details look very sharp, but I see signs of wear on the braid of hair below the ear, the cheek, and the neck. I assume the picture here (https://www.coinsandcanada.com/coin...cents-1886&) would be considered a perfect coin.

Any chance this would grade an MS-60? If so, it would definitely be worth grading and slabbing. Thoughts? (Sorry, the pictures aren't as sharp as the real coin, I can't seem to get anything better.)

Pretty hard to grade from those pictures, even hard to tell which variety it is,
but by your own admission there is wear on the coin which means it cannot
grade MS60. Maybe AU but need sharper photos to say for sure.

XF-45. Probably not worth grading.

@JimmyD - it's definitely a small 6.

Might make AU-50.

The first batch of photos suggest it's been polished.

Many thanks. @johnnysprawl Anything is possible, the coin has been sitting in a Whitman folder for at least 70 years. I'll hang on to it for a while; I have a lot of other Canadian but thought I would ask about this one.
