I've been taking coin photos since the early 2000s and until the past few years a Nikon coolpix with macro mode is all I used. Here is my current setup. I use Sony software imaging edge with my camera tethered by a usb c cable. I still haven't settled on lights some coins look better with a flashlight held over them and some look better with my on camera lights shown or a flash with a diffuser.

I use a 24MP Sony ZV-E10 with a Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS lense.

Nice setup.
(Sure wish I could keep a work area that neat and strictly for coins.)
