The first image is a single photo (same lighting and same angle) of two 1983 LMC's that has been sliced, pasted and aligned side by side. Both coins are 1983 Philadelphia Minted. Both have been in circulation for decades. The one on the right looks to have some doubling in the ear lobe and two locks of hair just above the collar.

There is a 1983 DDO with a doubled ear lobe, but not a an exact match.https://doubleddie.com/828823.html

The coin on the right is possibly a variety that has not yet been identified and attributed. There is one 1983 Philadelpha Minted doubled ear DDO listed on Wexler.

Thanks for the feedback. NYI

Hey again NY, now this may be the results of what is called.
Ejection doubling, The term "ejection doubling" can applied to minor smearing of the design generated by the anvil die, when a newly-struck coin resisted being pushed off the anvil die face by the ejector it can cause raised design elements to catch on the edges of the die's recesses.
But lets see what other`s think. And remember if you find a possible match then it must match EXACTLY as the one listed with all the markers matching up to what Stage the Die was in when it struck your coin.

Not seeing any doubling here. the main difference I see is the different amount of wear on each coin.

If you are seeing separation on the earlobe on the right (similar to the 2018D & 2019 D doubled earlobes) you will need to get clear closeups of the lobe.

Right now it is hard to tell if it is glare or separation.

It's also possible it is a well struck coin versus one struck with worn dies.

Thanks PetesP. Yes, definitely a clear separation. I tried to illustrate the spread using both coins in one image using the same lighting.
