Bought this coin as raw from RP Coins, Peck 1383 (Ex - Spink Numismatic Circular, December 2003, MS5717A and Baldwin's Auctions 31, October 14 2002, Lot 250). I think this coin is a splendid example of this variety. It had a glassy contact free surface with some patches of bluish toning. The detail is sharp and overall this coin is as original as it gets.
Interestingly, this coin was used as an example in Robert Pearce's article in British Numismatic Journal vol.77, 2007, p.301-307 ('A missing link: how Taylor made the 1807 proof halfpenny obverse die'). Likely this coin was a part of his personal collection before he sold it to me (Robert Pearce is RP Coins owner). Although not a super rare variety, I am certainly happy with this addition to my collection.
