Hope everyone's having a great day! Quick question, I'm sending some PCGS graded coins to be reholdered with varieties added to their labels. I'm using the online form have "variety attribution" checked for each coin, however I don't see a place to put which variety I want them to look for. Has anyone else gone through this process and know where I should put this information?

Interesting.

The key is part is, "Is the variety a FULLY recognized variety, in your case particularly by PCGS?"
There are a bunch of newer FS(?) varieties that have not been officially recognized by PCGS yet.
Therefore those varieties cannot be added to the holders.
I believe on the submission form there is a place to add/clarify what you're asking for.

They are all varieties that are recognized by PCGS. The problem is that for regular online coin submissions, the space where you put the type of coin is also where you put what variety it is, but with the Reholder form all you can put is the certification number of the coin (which obviously doesn't contain the variety as that hasn't been attributed yet). Maybe I need to use the paper form instead of the online form for this.

Update: got a response from PCGS after emailing them about a week ago, they said that it should be fine if the varieties are written in the notes section. Still would love to hear if anyone else has done this to confirm that it won't get overlooked!

I sent in some bust halves that I wanted the Overton numbers on the holder so I looked them up in the price guide and used the PCGS number for the variety on the form.

My problem is just that on the online form there is no dedicated spot to put the variety when doing a Reholder submission. But I'm fairly sure now that it should be fine going in the notes section.

PCGS quarterly special - you submit 4 and get the 5th free. I think you have to mention it in notes section. Check it out online.
