I have this 1967 5 Ore coin, as far as I've seen, all 5 ore coins after 1964 were bronze/copper colored. So why would it look this way? It is not any chemical reaction, paint, or anything like that.

Chelsi, your coin has some sort of substance on it. Try soaking it in pure acetone for an hour or two and see what happens. If that does nothing, then it was probably plated with silver or some other metal.

I soaked it in acetone as suggested, and no change. Left in for a good while too.

Across the world, fairly large coins with low face values have commonly been the victims of experiments by schoolchildren and other people with too much time on their hands.

If acetone doesn't remove something within a few minutes, leaving it in for longer isn't likely to help much.

I would agree it's some king of silvery pint or coating, that has worn off the high points showing the copper underneath.
