Hi there, I am new to the community I have started collecting Canadian coins. And I can't seem to find a lot of information on Canadian coins so I figured I would ask here to see if there are coins I should be keeping my eyes open for.

Welcome! It really depends what kind of coins peak your interest. Starting here is great as there is a lot of good info on this site and many knowledgeable collectors.

Find an area of interest first, pennies, nickels, ect buy the highest grade you can afford or special fields like errors, specimens, but most important you must have a love for it. One last advice for errors do not buy minor die chips or minor stuff 10 to 30 bucks stuff thrity years from now will still be only worth 10 to 30 bucks if you can sell them on.

Personally, I collect circulating-commemorative coins. Numista is a great place to start for that! But this probably on the contrary to most people.
