I'm going back through a whole bunch of coins that I just threw to the side over many years. I was a bit astonished concerning the clarity of the steps of Monticello Here is the NickelI need help with.

Unable to fully evaluate since your photos are distorted by overmagnification beyond the 800x800 pixels the board recommends. Please use a size of 800x800 or so because that tends to make a sharper image, and works with more equipment which allows more members to participate.

Not using any flash, but I'm using a microscope with lights as low as I can get them.

I hope this is ok - if not I am not sure I can make it any better. Like I said, this technology is all new to me.

By the pictures, I can see dings and circulation wear on the high points. It's still a pretty nice looking coin. It would grade somewhere in the AU range.

first photos were better. second set looks a little out of focus. I go with the original photos. just the rims themselves are saying the coin was circulated. the hit on the obv is displacing metal. that would be enough to details the coin. AU details ( PMD)
