2016 P Jefferson Nickel Is This A Kind Of Error?

gigi2110 Pillar of the Community United States 1770 Posts	Posted 07/25/2023 9:45 pm This coin is in relatively excellent condition, but as you can see the surface of the coin is different from a regular coin, I would like to know why it looks like this, is it some kind of error? It appears like it was exposed to acid or was in an acidic environment for a time. Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Here are the images of a Washington quarter I have that it was exposed to acid, I take photos side by side of the two coins and the weight of both coins. You will see that the quarter have 5g supposed to have 5.60-5.75 but the nickel has 4.92 what is in the range of the weight of 5g. gigi2110 Report this Post to the Staff
