This coin is in relatively excellent condition, but as you can see the surface of the coin is different from a regular coin, I would like to know why it looks like this, is it some kind of error? Thank you!

Sorry, in my opinion, this coin is in not-so-good condition. It appears like it was exposed to acid or was in an acidic environment for a time.

It may be an escapee from a 2016 Uncirculated Mint Set. This coin could be one of the 'Satin Finish' coins.

Never mind!

Thanks, Dearborn. Lost my mind for a minute there!

@Dearborn thank you!

Here are the images of a Washington quarter I have that it was exposed to acid, I take photos side by side of the two coins and the weight of both coins. You will see that the quarter have 5g supposed to have 5.60-5.75 but the nickel has 4.92 what is in the range of the weight of 5g.

Definitely damage. PMD. Maybe acid damage.

This was a mild acid interaction. The Nickels could be affected in same way also by mineral oil (same sort)

When weighing coins, always factor in mint tolerances. http://goccf.com/t/407956
