A stack of one cent coins one mile high would contain 1,267,200 one cent coins and have a face value of $12,672.00.

Diameter of a one cent coin is 0.75 inch. There are 63,360 (5,280 X 12) inches in a mile. Therefore, 63360 divided by 0.75 equals 84,480 layed out flat from end to end.

Exactly what I was going to say.
Not only that but all such statistics are based on many other things. For example in a very hot climate, metals expand with heat. Therefore laying coins of any type out would be different in quantity than if those same coins were layed out in a frozen land area. Staking coins of any type is purely dependant on the amount of wear per each coin to acquire a accurate amount.
Also, if the means to find out this would be to lay them out, the ground they are placed would have to be perfectly flat. One small ant hill could distort the quantity.

And don't forget there are more than just one type of mile. For example the nautical mile = 0.86897624 of our miles. Naturally there are the Statute Mile, The DATA mile, etc. None are the same in length.
