G'day all, I have been asked by my mother in law to track down the value of some old Australian notes she has. She believes that because of the signatures on them they are of some value. I am curiouse if anyone can provide information on this.

The notes are as follows:

$2 Note
- Serial No LLF855267
- Governer of the reserve bank is Johnston
- Secretary to the Treasurer is Fraser

$5 Note
- PZB862148
- Governer of the reserve bank is Johnston
- Secretary to the Treasurer is Fraser

$10 Note
- Serial No AB21341437
- Governer of the reserve bank is Johnston
- Secretary to the Treasurer is Fraser

Any information you can provide would be appreciated. It will also keep in the good books.

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nicholas, and welcome. Value of coins and notes depends upon a few factors, condition, rarity, demand.
Your first note is the last issue of $2 notes before the change to coins. As such, it was widely held onto. It isn't rare and is relatively easy to find in uncirculated condition. It has a catalogue value of $14 uncirculated.
The $5 note is a bit of a different story, a picture here would help. For this signature combination, there are two different types of font for the serial numbers. Gothic and a type known as "OCR-B". These types are difficult to explain if you don't have something to compare them to. Your note in crisp uncirculated condition would have a catalogue value of $50 with the OCR-B serials, and $75 with the Gothic.
The $10 note is the bicentennial issue, second release. It has a catalogue value of $65 in uncirculated condition.

To give you a better idea of values, pictures would be needed to determine grades. Values drop quickly as grades decrease, the $5 note in Fine condition, meaning it would be well creased and crumpled, would at best be worth $10.

Hope this helps.
