You'd think that for 20k, he would have furnished more words about an 7-8 dollar note and why 20k is a reasonable price.

Virtualy all of your posts for the last year or more have been similar posts about overpriced items on ebay.
In each and every case the answer is the same.
Sellers are free to ask any ridiculous price for absolutely any item they list.
It's nothing new, Caveat Emptor has been the first rule of this hobby for thousands of years.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

You are Oh so right" DBM. I think that they do it for those folks that enter "most expensive" in their searches. I was wrong on the $7-8 as a guess. Here's what it is:

the valuable notes are the the result )if my memory serves me right the duplication of serial #s with different signatories(govenors and quickly corrected)......i have a number of the worthjess ones myself..and not enoough cheeck to try to sell them for their rare cousins prices...

It's funny this is here. I was perusing ebay and this came up and almost made me spit my coffee out. If you read his feedback, the last (his only in the last 6 months) buyer wrote:

"I thought for that much the would have bin in better condition."

Have no idea what the purchase was, but his pricing is beyond insane.
