1961-D Lincoln Cent BIE Error Kind Of Scarce?

Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5771 Posts	Posted 08/25/2023 10:35 am IMHO, it seems like the design changes going to the Memorial cents probably did affect the number of BIE varieties. It's hard to tell how the slightest design alteration affected the quality of coin production. Some Wheat cent years the T of CENT was a reliable area for markers. The top of the shield on modern shield cents is another good example of the design affecting the integrity of the dies. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. rmpsrpms Pillar of the Community United States 4037 Posts	Posted 08/25/2023 12:29 pm Since the chip connects the B and E it is considered a full BIE by Cohen, but it is not listed in her book. I did not check COC but you may have a discovery coin. Check with JC at COC. There is only one (other) full BIE listed by Cohen for 1961-D.
