I wanted to see if I could find early sixties BIE errors or did they suddenly stop after 1960 at least for awhile. So many from the 50's through 1960-D Large date, then the well dried up?

IMHO, it seems like the design changes going to the Memorial cents probably did affect the number of BIE varieties.

It's hard to tell how the slightest design alteration affected the quality of coin production.
Some Wheat cent years the T of CENT was a reliable area for markers. The top of the shield on modern shield cents is another good example of the design affecting the integrity of the dies.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I'd say the BIE is more scarce after 1960 D.

Since the chip connects the B and E it is considered a full BIE by Cohen, but it is not listed in her book. I did not check COC but you may have a discovery coin. Check with JC at COC. There is only one (other) full BIE listed by Cohen for 1961-D.
