I posted this coin on another coin site for feedback and someone there thought it might be a fake? Got to be some seated half collectors out there who can confirm this or not.

Genuine, EF40ish from these really poor lo-rez photos.
I would not purchase without seeing better pics.

I didn't think fake either. Pics are not the greatest but some of the coins details look even better than EF-40 to me. At any rate if I buy it it will be for considerably less than XF money.

Using PCGS photograde, On the obverse I see the flatness on the leg but the head detail and the fingers on the pole push it to AU-53 for me. On the reverse I see it as XF-45 with these pics. Net Graded, I call it AU-50 and possible details if cleaned but I can't determine that from these pics.

Thanks for the input everyone. Nobody threw out a guess as to what the coin might be worth. I did manage to buy it at less than F-12 price on Numismedia so I feel I did ok.

coin was auctioned so seller doesn't have much control over final selling price if no minimum is set.

I just noticed that line on the shield from top of shield through the banner of liberty. Any chance of getting a large clear pic of that area?
