My question is related to the German, 1000 mark,1910 banknote with 7 digits number. P#44b There are letters in front of the 7 digits number from A to O, is it possible to determine by these and underprint letter combination in what yare was the banknote printed ?

The letter combination is an indication when the banknote was introduced into circulation.

Someone on numista has a link with more details.
