Got this today in my change at Dollarama. Yes, it looks pretty beat up. The polar bear side seems to either be tampered with or has some sort of error with regards to the metal in the core. I can see a definite line where the two different looking metals meet...
Anybody have any opinions? Also any tips on how to clean it safely (that is if it's even worth cleaning...)

looks like lacquer or something on both sides....except bottom of the core.....
