is there somewhere where you can find stats what coin types sell best? is there a price range that tend to sell better than others?

if there isn't and you are buying and selling coins at this time or own an LCS, what are you seeing on which ones are moving and getting the best sale prices compared to retail based on type?

is it a craps shoot or is it possible to make a few $$ if your grading skills are pretty decent? do you have a cutoff percentage when buying. i.e. do you try to buy at a minimum of 60% of the listed retail in order to make enough on a sale when you take into consideration fees, insurance and shipping or is it more of a pain to do this than its worth?

I can't answer your first paragraph because that comes with experience with your clientele. But Morgan and Peace dollars are always popular, original type coins sell for premiums, all the usual stuff can be counted on to sell quickly.

Good graders have real potential. Let's just say some people upgrade coins in slabs for a living...

Margins after fees can vary from person to person, that is why dealers pay differently. For craigslist deals, I tried to make 30%. Many coin shops are working those larger margins as well. For people running the show circuit, profits of 10-20% are best. For small time dealings I would use comps as my price guide but if I am doing the show circuit I would use greysheet.

There isn't a way to mass advertise on Craigslist because the expectation is that all of the deals are met in person and not shipped. Keep it local if you choose to go the Craigslist route.
