Here's an interesting "something-for-everybody" sort of website I stumbled across late last night while doing some internet digging on abolition tokens. I've searched all over CCF and can't find any earlier mention of it by title or author, so I thought it made sense to pass it along in case anyone else finds it useful or engaging.

This is just a sample of the kinds of topics covered:
Coins-Of-The-Month:-Interesting-Resource-For-All-Collectors,-World-And-US,-Modern-And-Ancient

Published under the auspices of the Centre for History and Economics at Magdalene College, Cambridge University (UK), its author is Dr. Luca Einaudi, an economist and a historian. He is currently a general director in the Department for economic policy and planning of the Italian Prime Minister's Office.

Dating back to 2012, Dr. Einaudi presents in pretty accessible prose -- meaning it's not overly scholarly in tone -- a series of (mostly) monthly "short illustrated articles" on "monetary history, coins and their economic, political and iconographic role." (Those are his words, I would guess, from his biographical blurb on the website.) Strong on Europe, but plenty of other coverage too, and strong on the imagery on coins, where it comes from, and what it means.

You can check it out here, at COINS OF THE MONTH.
