Considering that the 2001 proof set is worth around $80, the 1999 around $50 and the 2008 $60 something is not smelling good... if they are really all the proof sets in original packaging then it is a great buy...

I'm really not a cent collector, nor do I often find any great deals in coin collecting, so please don't base your decision on my words alone. I don't know anything about the proofs, but I think the BU set depends on what condition the set is in. If your looking at a full red MS set then I think thats an alright buy, but nothing your going to make money on. But if its just a set someone made with their spare change with a bunch of shiney cents they found then leave it. Either way, if I did the math correctly it comes out to a little under 25 cents a coin. So if it is a full red set then I think you will make the good buy on the earlier coins like the pre-1982's. Full red copper LMC's are great looking robust cents in my opinion.

Please clarify what you mean by "proof set 1968-2008".
Do you mean all proof sets from 1968-2008? (cents, nickels, dimes, etc...)
Or one set of proof cents across those years?

Sounds like a Littleton advertisement. I guess it depends on how badly you want to put together a set of LMC's. I am not a series collector, but I would believe that the challenge in putting together a set would be more fun it selecting the cents individually. But then again, the seller is doing the work for you. I seem to be typing in circles. If you think it's a good buy, then do it! However if you have buyers remorse, you only have your self to blame. So final answer -- yes and no! I think that the 1968-2008 Proof set mentioned earlier is the LMC's only. Enjoy the hobby, and don't let anyone tell you how to do! success,
