It has been filed.
Plausible. If you look at the rim, there is still a trace of a line that was the inside rim. I think that line would be filed off. Might be time for me to get my small files out and do som sprmenten.

It does look like it's possibly wear, but the confusing thing is the "worn" edge is actually raised/thicker, not worn down.

Well, that didn't work. A file takes too much off. One other thing, it might be a wire brush with a Dremel tool. That's all I got.

Who say was filled IMHO was correct. the side photo show one normal side and the in question side it is very strait which could not come on the mint process. Filling by pulverization today is easy to achieve.
This it is my though on this coin.

This kind of coin will never happened in the minting process.

. Size n weight?

It does looks like there's
( extra?)something?

I'm like everyone else it didn't come from the mint like that.

Here's probably a way way out possibility.
Could something have been added then a really high speed buffer used?
Used to melt and smear the area. But it's still strange the edge is still there.

Someone had to do that for some reason. They might be dangerous roaming around. What will they think of next?

. Maybe I'm the one that's dangerous just thinking of that.
