Did you see the siver dollar pictured that had token written in pencil on the flip, with the to erased to make it say "ken". Her lame attempt to starddle the fence and mislead folks? I just sent a message to the only bidder who is paying over $2 (18 something) for one of her tokens bobo15 http://auctions.overstock.com/cgi-b...UCTID=144030Any thoughts on the best manner to report her? This is a misleading photo- and we kn ow form experience it is intentional! http://auctions.overstock.com/cgi-b...CTID=1440303Don

I have specifically reported that auction. The current high bidder has also been emailed.
This auction should be reported as misleading with the statement that this is not a US Mint-issued coin and is only a silver-plated round. I would also strongly suggest clicking on her user ID and going to the bottom of the page. Click on the "Report this user" link and explain some of the background behind this seller.

Do you have to be an Overstock user to make reports?

According to a post on another forum, it is possible to report a seller or auction without registering with Overstock. It had never occurred to me that I would be able to report without registering so I automatically signed up. Therefore, I have to take their word for it that it is possible.

Susan, I attempted to report it (just by clicking he link) and received a message saying only registered members could report, or words to that effect. I phoned their customer service as well- it is actually easy to speak with a "live" human- I waited less than a minute. 1-800-THE-BIG-O (843-2446) Don

I've lost track of how many are reporting her, but I joined Overstock this morning for the express purpose to report her. She is now properly reported to Overstock including the above auction #1440303 for the 1889CC "Proof" for which I have received back the obligatory auto-reply from Overstock. I didn't see any other auctions on which I could definitely state them to be fraudulent. Given the low response to her Overstock offerings, as compared to the numbers of bids and amounts on her ebay auctions, she isn't gonna have very much income with which to pay her defense lawyers. Gee, that's too bad and so sad...

For the most part, Wednesdays tend to be pretty slow until later in the day. I don't know why that is.

Any more follow up on this? pjd1966 currently has nothing listed for sale @overstock. doc1960 "won" the counterfeit 1889 cc "proof"- the one I have dubbed the "ken" coin (to of token erased off the flip) Did anyone send him a notice? He bid $152, and from his progile it appears he has bought numerous coins @ Overstock in the past. I'm not familiar with how to seach for completed auctions @ Overstock. If one knows the auction number, they pop up, however. Anyone have the auction numbers of her other listings from last week? Don

No. In the midst of all the communication I had with the Overstock members, I forgot to make a note of the individual auction numbers. There were a couple of Overtstock members that were going to take care of the "ken" auction. I would hazard a guess that the winner of that auction is well-aware and was just trying to remove it as a risk for an uneducated buyer. The other option is that there were a lot of bidders on her auctions from last week that were new users with 0 feedback. I am of the opinion that she started these accounts herself to build up her feedback on O-stock. If she receives a positive rating from that auction, then we'll know for sure.

Hi Guys, I just got an email from the "winner" of the auction- he was not aware that the coin was a copy. He's requesting advice on how to void the transaction. I can answer, but would feel that I might be leading him into a Blind leading the blind situation. I'd love for him to but and then report her of course... Don

Hi Don, I just emailed him at Overstock to advise him how to handle this. She may have already fled Overstock, since she's not running anything right now. I also gave him the url to our forum here. I don't think it's going to hurt him if he doesn't complete the transaction, but I advised him to report the auction anyway and explain to O'stock why he doesn't want to complete the transaction. Hopefully, we'll be seeing him here.

Thanks Susan. I wasn't trying to pass the buck- just thought he might be better served by those with more experience in online auctions. Don
