Northwest Territorial Mint (NWTM) purchased assets from Medallic Art Company (MACo) and was able to restrike some of the medals that were popular with collectors. Among them were medals from the National Parks and National Monuments. Shown below is a Mount Rushmore medal that was struck by NWTM. I bought it from the Dayton, NV, company that acquired certain NWTM assets out of bankruptcy. The company that owns these remnants clearly ID's them as "NWTM surplus stock" which will not be restruck going forward. . .The 1.5 inch bronze medallion does not have any edge lettering. It comes inside a flip which has been stapled to an info card. The punched hole in the card indicates these were sold via a retail souvenir stand at the monument. . .

The company selling these is a "a service disabled veteran-owned small business" that does medals, challenge coins, and officially licensed products for the five branches of the military and the VA.

NWTM adapted the 25th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge Medallion [MACo # 1962-014] designed by San Francisco based artist Spyro Anargyros, as the medallion which commemorate the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The original medallion can be seen here: http://goccf.com/t/269184&whichpage=4#3904311.
NWTM's version and the original can be compared in the photos below:Northwest-Territorial-Mint-Re-Strikes-Of-Maco-Medals Northwest-Territorial-Mint-Re-Strikes-Of-Maco-Medals
