Added light and was like ok this is a first for in hand is clearly a steel cent.

Yes I'll weigh it and see about a magnet soon anyways, just I mean it is steel.

Nice steelie. I presume you found it in circulation, and if so, it probably came from a broken-up collection. In case you were not aware, 1943 Lincolns we made of steel so the copper could be used to support war manufacturing - ammo, ship parts, etc.
