secoinedchance Valued Member Canada 449 Posts	Posted 11/16/2023 12:31 pm Hey everyone, Got this a few years ago as part of a few rolls of Buffalo nickels and still to this day I wonder if this is good enough to get graded. As a Canadian, I don't have enough experience with these to really know what the grade is. It is a gorgeous coin with no wear and a little bit of chatter in certain spots that I can detect based on pictures I've seen of high grade. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this. panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18673 Posts	Posted 11/16/2023 3:53 pm if you can't enlarge I give it a shot using these. the coin appears to be in the AU50-53 range. can't tell if the surfaces are original so not sure if it grades straight. lets say it does. the coin would be somewhere around a $50 coin if slabbed. the problem with slabbing this would be the cost of grading would exceed the value of the coin. for instance you need a subscription if you go with PCGS the entry level is $69 plus the grading fee. typically about $22 for average coins then you have shipping and insurance both ways. so to answer you question. secoinedchance Valued Member Canada 449 Posts	Posted 11/18/2023 09:02 am To be honest, these pictures don't do the coin justice. The lighting I have currently is not my friend for good pictures. It it most certainly not Circulated, as I said I see mostly chatter on the surfaces. I'll try to fix my lighting issue and repost. Thanks for the replies! Report this Post to the Staff
