I've been having a clear out and I found this in a drawer. Is it an actual coin or just a token or souvenir? I'm sorry about the colour - the perils of having 'warm' lightbulbs - it's much more black and silver than it looks, definitely not gold!

Any info gratefully received, thanks!

Sorry, and should say it's about 25 - 26mm in diameter and weighs 11g.

It is a modern reproduction, maybe a museum souvenir.

The original is a "gros" by French king Charles VI, issued 1413. It looks like this, and weighs about 2.9 g.

Thank you, erafjel, it is as I thought. Lovely to see your photo tho, I notice that the fleur de lis are stamped into your coin rather than on my souvenir where they are above the surface. Same on the other side. I shall keep it for fun!

You are welcome (and welcome to CCF as well!).

Actually, cross, fleurs de lis, and letters are all in relief and are raised above the surface. It might be hard to tell which way it is from a picture taken from straight above.
