Hi,
I posted here once before regarding a coin I inherited from my Grand Father. Since then I have been taking up interest in coin collecting. I am definitely a novice and try to search the web for info all on these coins I have.
**Recently I bought a few silver coins from a guy on Kijiji in Windsor, ON Canada and he also sold me a mixed bag of various old coins for $40. Many were 1920's to 1950's Canada and a few US coins.
I found some very interesting coins but I have no clue whether they are of value or I know my Grand Father had sent some of his coins for grading in Toronto, ON.
So long story already long... I found 5cent Canada coins. 2 near leaf and 3 far leaf. I will attach photos of the first coin now. Look's far leaf, flared I's, no shoulder fold, cude on letters N/T and looks to be a die crack? along bottom of neckline? This bag of coins looked nice and shiny and caught my eye.

First you need to crop your pics closer to the coin.

The last 2 coins one is a shoulder fold and the other is not.

You need to put just one coin with rev and obv in one thread then we know what we are looking at.

Getting better but try to crop closer to the coin on all 4 sides.

The coin posted is a NSF - Far leaf

Now do the same for the coin.

Okay I went back to some older posts and I think I got it. I have what's called a 1954 no shoulder fold, far leaf Nickel in pic #1,2 and a 1953 Near leaf with shoulder fold in pic #3, 4.
This is kind of fun. rofl Wow time consuming hobby but addicting!!

I think you are correct except they are both 1953 nickels.
