1/24 Thaler , Medieval period, German States ... apprx. 1 gram, apprx. 19mm, says "PHILIPPUS" ... can't find this one in Numista, need a little more info ... sorry for the pic, but I don't have the coin ...any help is appreciated ...thanks in advance...John

It's not really medieval, and the legend is PHILIP IULIUS.
Pomerania-Wolgast, early 17th century.

I don't see a date (here or on the Numista page example) but that's really Numista's problem... your coin certainly matches their pic!

I am seeing 1 1 for 1611 (the numerals kind of run into the reeded circle).

thanks, tdz ... bought this on a lark, as I thought the condition was pretty good, seller had it i.d.'ed incorrectly & my lack of familiarity of these coins is huge ... just getting into post - medieval coinage of Europe ... I also think I see a couple of 1's ... 1611 would be in the correct era for Duke Philly J 3rd ... waiting on it to arrive from Bulgaria ...
