Grade And Typ Of 5 Cent 1858 - Coin Community Forum

Gebs Valued Member Netherlands 115 Posts	Posted 12/15/2023 02:59 am I recently bought this 5 cent 1858. I think the grade is about VG/F. But I can't make up which type it is. I think it is a Large 5 but I'm not sure. And I can't make out which Large 5 it would be then. Maybey you guys can help me out. Report this Post to the Staff

Silver101 Pillar of the Community Canada 1081 Posts	Posted 12/15/2023 06:51 am Certainly VG, likely VG10 and possibly F12. The entire swoop of the braid is visible including some of the details. There is some detail in the eye, lots of detail in the ear and I can see at least 7 leaves in the laurel wreath. It's not exactly a beauty....eye appeal is lacking, particularly in the obverse, but that is a collectable coin. Report this Post to the Staff
