I recently bought this 5 cent 1858. I think the grade is about VG/F. But I can't make up which type it is.

I think it is a Large 5 but I'm not sure. And I can't make out which Large 5 it would be then. Maybey you guys can help me out.

Certainly VG, likely VG10 and possibly F12. The entire swoop of the braid is visible including some of the details. There is some detail in the eye, lots of detail in the ear and I can see at least 7 leaves in the laurel wreath. It's not exactly a beauty....eye appeal is lacking, particularly in the obverse, but that is a collectable coin.

I'd say VG-10/F-12 as well, but think that it's a small date from where the 1 is, in relation to the leaf tip.

You don't mention large or small date in your query, are you asking about the denomination 5?

@DBM

I was mentioning the date, looking at the pictures of coinsandcanada I think it is large date #1.
