Does anyone kind of have an idea what a straight grade 1794 poor 1 large cent value would be?

Numismedia price guides only go down to G-4.

PCGS Price Guide does have prices down to Poor-1; the given figures are $750, $300, $325 for heads of 1793, '94, '95 respectively.

I suspect that actual values would be somewhat lower than that, but I'm not sure how to estimate them, and at least the PCGS Price Guide is easily available.

I forgot about that pcgs has that page, seems like $300 would be inflated to me, I agree seems a little more than what it should be worth.

Have you checked ebay sold values or Heritage Auctions sold prices?

It's increasingly difficult to ascribe values to lowball coins nowadays. Some collectors, a great minority mind you, tend to pay more than "book" value for them; this, particularly if the coin is certified. This phenomenon tends to boil down to bragging rights, it seems, and it's akin to assembling registry sets. It's simply a matter of finding the right buyer.

It's graded by icg I'm guessing nobody would buy that for a registry set, the pictures wouldn't help at all, not good pictures.
