I don't collect a whole lot of U.S. paper, but got this in change the other day from somewhere. I'll put this one in my collection! Thanks for looking! Image: starnotes.jpg7.83 KB Edited by nighthawk 04/08/2009 9:41 pm

Great start! And you got it for "face value" too! Those are the best ones to add to your collection, and it has a story to tell behind it! success,

the images are limited to 100K (still pretty small), there are ways to have larger images available to your thread...can someone assist NightHawk in posting larger images through another website holding area?
success,

While you are waiting for some encouraging advice, I have to set the quality on my camera to the lowest setting, and the coarsest grain size to get just under 100K. They are pretty decent, and they get the point across. You can insert your images into your thread by doing the following. Upload you image first, by using the little green camera, and give your image a good description name. You cannot use blank spaces in the file names! If you want a space use the underscore "_" like; 1909VDB_OBV or 1909VDB_REV Something that you can refer back to easily. Then when you are ready to insert the image, remove the jargan that was inserted into your thread, and go back to the green camera, and click "My Previously Uploaded Files". Find your image and click on it again to insert the image into your thread. I may have missed a step, but keep "PREVIEW"ing your thread to ensure it appeals to you. It's a trial and error process, but you CAN do it ! success,

It said my first image was too big to upload, so I shrunk it, and now it's way too small. And it did'nt put the pic on my posting, but you have to click on it, then it goes to the picture. I'm confused.

I just use an image hosting site like photobucket and put my pictures there (any size you want!), then link them here and you don't have to worry about shrinking or anything

yes, photobucket is what I use too. Its pretty great for letting in good sized pictures easily. Just load your pictures to photobucket, copy the link under the picture for IMG code and then come back to your post here and paste the link. When you are writing your post it will show up as a link, but you will see if you click preview reply, that it shows up as the picture in your post. ITs very simple. :)
Im sure we can all watch and see if you need any help with it.

Thank you all for your help. I will try tomorrow, since it's getting late here in my neck of the woods. Thanks again. John

I think it would be cool to find a little tiny dollar in circulation Seriously, you'll get the hang of it and it's a bunch of great people here!
