I understand, jbuck, but if you occasionally pay with cash instead of plastic you might get lucky and see one sooner. Maybe.

Found my earliest ever "First of the year" coins in the Phoenix area, usually it is late spring before I see them here. I received 2 2024-D Zincolns in change today at the local mini-mart buying some Popsicles for the wife.

I received this one in change today.  I'm still not seeing too many 2024s yet but I'm seeing a lot of 2023s. For example, last year I received 21 new quarters in change and none were Jovita Idar. A few days ago I received three brand new shiny ones from a bank roll that the cashier cracked open in front of me.  |

I have not seen any 2024 dated coins of any denomination yet (NE Ohio) and I'm about 440 miles from the Philly Mint.
