PCGS - A stunningly rainbow-toned 1948 Franklin half dollar with Full Bell Lines in PCGS MS67+FBL. A great example to share for Toner Tuesday.

CCFPress, I notice that your holder says " DDO FS-101
Question: Where on the obverse is the Double Die located?
For some reason, I'm having a hard time locating the DD even though your image is super.
Thank you,

Thank you, jbuck, I didn't know we had robots here that can dialog and post pictures.
Speaking of "robots", I posted a question about the 1948 Franklyn coin above to an AI application earlier. Here is what I got..

Variety Vista lists 4 DDO for 1948 Franklins (they don't list FS#) None are very easy to see with pictures they provide.

The only explanation, in my opinion, is that the "48" numbers are DD because of their thickness - still not 100% sure.

Basically just a "press release" aggregator from some news feeds Bobby has set up. This one came from PCGS. Sometimes news is just self promotion.

It certainly did fail. I think the DD designation on the Franklyn is because of the "48".
Thanks for the reply about the CCFPress, I would have been talking to it as if it were a person on here...
