*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

I found this 1962 penny with a defect on the rim. On one side it has a curved indentation and on the other side of the defect it has some letters stamped on it. Any help would be appreciated.

To CCF! It's PMD, not an error. Looks like a Vise Job. https://www.error-ref.com/squeeze-j...-garage-job/

Thank you all for the replies. I am new to this and was confused because of the lettering on the other side of the rim. I appreciate you all.

I put the penny under a microscope so that I could try to see the lettering on the rim. This image is what came out, some of the letters are very clear. Could this have been done with pliers. Thank you all for your help again.
