Hey all,

This is my first post. I am looking to find out some information on this token.
Who made it? When was it made? How rare is it? I found a couple of these someone was asking crazy money for, but I doubt it that valuable.
Any info would be nice. Thanks for looking.

Welcome to CCF, fuzzywuzzy!
What you have there is a souvenir token of the Apollo XI / Apollo XVII First and Last Manned Landings.

When was it made?

We can make some educated guesses here, based on the inclusion of the phrase "last manned landing in this century".

It must, logically, have been made before 2000, because it speaks of "this century" - it must have been made in the same century as the moon landings occurred. It must also have been made not too soon before the end of the century, because there would have been no way to know in the 1970s or 1980s, for example, that there wouldn't have been any more moon landings before 2000. They couldn't have known that for sure until at least the mid-1990s, by which time future moon missions would have been conclusively ruled out. This leaves "mid-to-late-1990s" as the most logical date window. The 25th anniversary of the first landing, in 1994, seems like a likely commemorative occasion for the timing - though one might expect some mention of a "25th anniversary" on the medal itself, if this were the case.

As for "who made it" - it's not an official NASA issue. They would have certainly included the NASA logo, and would also have done a much better job at accurately depicting the Apollo 17 spacecraft.

It's a privately made medal that is not worth 'crazy money'.
