Hi, I am seeing postings of coins with "spreading" errors. The spreading is mostly reported between letters in "America." What is this "spreading"?

The spreading isn't between the letters it's the letters that are spread wider than a none doubled die.You can see the lines of separation on the letters and sometimes you can see notching as well.
