Having just re-taken pics of this coin, I thought I would post it here and start a new topic. This the the KM#1 coin for Straits Settlements. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straits_Settlements  Now bring out yours and let's see what you have. 1948 Saint Pierre and Miquelon 1 Franc. The 2 Franc is KM #2. This was the only year coins were minted for these islands.  Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

How's this: 1858 Canada large cent, KM#1...  Dealer didn't know what he had, found this in a "junk box" for only 20 cents  Edited by mrwhatisit
