He also is thinking of giving me an authentic $1000 confederate bill. Also 1863. It would make a nice set? Report this Post to the Staff
Sap Moderator Australia 16826 Posts	Posted 04/12/2009 01:36 am As I understand it, the only genuine Confederate $1000 notes were dated from April to June, 1861; the $1000 is quite extensively copied. Check this website for a more complete list of known fake note serial numbers, but the most common fake number for the $1000 is "297". Thank you for the link on the CSA. it is an 82A counterfeit. I have seen it. It does not even look real. It looks as it may have been done in the late 50's early 60's.
