I'm curious what would remove corrosion so thoroughly. I thought that corrosion can't be removed. Also, the coin has nice luster, which is puzzling if it's been cleaned. Also, the coin has nice luster, which is puzzling if it's been cleaned. Any corrosion on a coin can be dealt with. It's simply a matter of whether or not you end-up damaging the surfaces in the end. In the case of this coin, it clearly had severe verdigris and someone probably used acid to clean it. Luster? It looks lusterless to me, it's very flat.
