But don't feel bad about being in the vortex - after more than 50 years of collecting I still feel the same way! I suggest getting a copy of The Red Book (A Guide Book of United States coins). Depending where you live, there may be a local coin store near you. Just be patient, learn like we all do. If you shop online for coins/bullion, compare shop for best deals and sales from the well known dealers. ebay has good honest dealers and some bad ones, so just know what you are doing before buying a collectible coin. CCF is a great place to learn and get advise/opinions on coins. There's info here about coin terms, a glossary, and info how to post pics of coins when/if you want.
