I hope to not overlap on any other post, but I did some reading last night, and didn't find anything on this. I pre-ordered an uncirculated set from an Ontario coin retailer, and originally they told me that the uncirculated set would mean that my package would only be shipped out on February ninth. I reached out this morning to see if they still were able to mail my package on friday, and the reply went something like this: "We actually were recently informed by the RCM that the uncirculated set is delayed". I remember that these were announced late in the year; If my memory serves me, originally the set was (on the RCM site) listed as "will ship in the new year"; then that changed to "will ship early February" (or something like that); Now as of today the RCM's page for this set says "Expected to be shipped on May 27". Sheesh. The rolls are out; The coins are (according to posts here) already circulating in some areas of the country; And now they are now delaying the release of this set for another three months? Is anyone here "in the know" with the RCM and what's going on?I saw that today's RCM email announced more stuff which all apparently has the Queen's effigy on it - even though they are dated as 2024 releases - this seemed REALLY odd to me.Edited by unruhjonny 02/06/2024 6:58 pm

Has anyone received their sets yet? I've been waiting since mid November, last update was early Feb. shipping date. I don't understand the delay, rolls are out, coins are circulating, why the delay? It's not like the pre 2011 days of specially struck coins, they are just regular change.

Quote: Has anyone received their sets yet? I've been waiting since mid November, last update was early Feb. shipping date. November is when I ordered my sets from GW. From what I can see the order is waiting on the "2023 'King Charles III' Classic Uncirculated P-L Mint Set", which is scheduled to be available after mid-February. Everything else seems to be readily available now. The Mint is really slow on some things. BTW, I'm waiting on KCIII First Strikes Set, 50-cent roll, Classic Uncirculated Set, and the 2022 'Last Strikes' Queen Elizabeth II Uncirculated P-L Mint Set. I did order another KCIII First Strikes Set from CA, which I received a few weeks ago.

The Mint has the capacity to strike a billion circulation coins a year. That means they could strike up all 700,000 of the coins for these sets before lunch tomorrow.

Looks like they are going to make me a liar. The RCM just charged my card for the unc sets I ordered, so shipping is imminent.

Are you saying you bought it at the post office or that it came in your mail?

I too purchased mine from the RCM last year, and although I am in no huge hurry to get it in my hands, it does bother me a bit that the RCM has recently been a little 'wacky' with some coins in the past year. There have been several examples of them posting items for sale with very extended-release timing. I can only assume (<-and you know what that word means) that the RCM is trying to cut spending by not over processing quantities above sales of their products, whether it be the actual coins or the price of packaging. I WOULD THINK that by now the RCM would have gotten sales orders from anyone who wants this item and can package/mail-out soon. Over-all, I would really hope that future coins would not be advertised unless they are available. The RCM has been collecting interest in more than one million dollars WE gave them months ago; they need to complete their side of the deal now.

I don't have a mint account and I don't order from the mint. I have all the coins I've wanted from the mint by going out and looking for them. I get to see them in hand before I buy and many times at a better price. I used to use the mint as a bit of a reference site but I don't do that anymore either.
