There are not quite as pricy as Coin Vault and the selection is better. They move very fast so you have to write down item numbers to reference when you call in with an offer....Mike

I have Dish Network, but don't get any of the channels listed. Two (217 and 221) aren't even listed on All Channels Available. I have an older (8 years) system, so there's quite a few channels I couldn't get even if I wanted them. I would like to watch one of these coin auctions - I need the entertainment. I liked coincountry's statement on its homepage: "Wholesale Prices"; this means they buy them at wholesale prices and sell coins to wholesale numbers of gullible people.

Hi Fred! They are no longer cheap or reasonable by most standards. They are cheaper and a lot more fun to watch then the other guys on TV! Wholesale manure for sale maybe, but not coins! They are no longer on PAX TV around here here. I have not been able to locate the new channels on Direct TV either. You used to be able to link up on line when they were broadcasting live. Check their web-site to see if that service is still available. They will answer your calls and e-mails about program information in your area. I purchased coins from them 3 times when they first went on the air a few years back. I got two great coins and one over-graded St. Gaudens. They took the coin back, covered the return shipping and refunded my money no questioned asked! I'm not sure how they are these days as they have grown a great deal. Let me say again they started out very fair and have become a bit greedy so I stopped buying from them. To bad, as it was lot's of fun to call in and hear them answering your questions and countering your offers. Joe Holt, the founder of "Shop at Home Network" (he sold it years ago) owns Coin Country. I have spoken with him a few times and he was very pleasant and helpful. By the way I am not suggesting this is a great place to use as a primary source for coin purchases. There are better values in many other venues. However,it may work O.K. for some folks Have a good one!! Mike

Strictly limited to 10,000 per house hold! I don't have sat or cable so I've never watched any of these shows. But hype has always been a part of coin collecting. There's a simple logic that would keep people from getting suckered: It can't be "rare" if every Tom Dick and Harry has 10,000 of them. And they can't hype to the public anything that really is rare. If it's really rare there's no supply, and no econmic reason to spend money hyping it. Does anyone hype 1894-S dimes? If people allow their greed to over ride simple logic in this hobby, they are going to be the center piece in the Lions' den.

I understand these TV coin "dealers" pay big bucks to sell on TV and need to recoup their $$ somehow....but when many of the raw circulated coins and sets are sold, they include CLEANED coins ? It's not good business unless "cleaned " is stated !

I heard that COIN COUNTRY buys the unsold coins from other cable shows and sells them quickly at 40% to 50% cheaper. They are still higher in price than one should pay for the coins!!!

I miss everything! I have yet to catch one of these TV coin shows, although my husband says he will see one on at 2am if he's up and flipping channels. I am guessing they are all on at odd times. Might be fun to watch them hype something you would find in poacket change. Have to learn to stay up later at night I guess. Margaret

Found coincountry on channel 227 on direct tv. They are on usually tuesdays & thursday nites as their webpage states. Apparently they will be on next monday for a "special" day of sales. Although I found alot of their stuff cheaper than coin vault (in some cases over $100 difference) on other items they were higher. Buyers just have to be picky & knowledgeable if they are going to buy and know what stuff is "worth". They had CC morgans last nite in the $254 range which is the cheapest I ever seen.. , still tho, I did not pull the trigger on anything, I still think all their stuff was over priced, $20 Saints was dropped to $1,000 from $1,200, in ms63, in old ngc holders, they only had 5 for sale--(one of their specials of the nite)

In order to get a true picture of the selling price you need to call in and make an offer. Sometimes they take it, sometimes they don't. As I stated before, they are now generally overpriced. They started out fair and have now become a little greedy. Mike
