Poll Question
I was just wondering how everyone collects their coins. I'm not talking real big money coins just coins in general even moderns.

I myself hoard my birth year and do plenty of date mint sets. and even some rolls. and just about everything else.

But the question is....

How do you MAINLY collect your coins and why?

my main thing is date/mint
i collect date/mint because you never know which will be the good ones [:p] and its great to have them all lol

I am not a systematic collector I collect by certain types of dates, time eras. Hoarding is way too expensive for me!

I voted "hoarding" because that's about the closest description to what I'm actually doing.

I mostly go for one of each date/mint and sell/spend the rest to purchase date/mints I need

I voted Hoarding , even though my collecting is much more systematic in its true nature, but I will take as many of some coins as I can get !!

My aussie collection is by year and mint. I sometimes buy multiples but they are purchased as an investment for the future.

Other coins in my colection are by theme (i.e. Victoria Cross) and others by year.

I enjoy collecting!

My vote goes for "one of each date and mint" and should I add "and country" as I don't focus in a particular country.

I collect by historical interest and/or eye appeal.

I gave up collecting by date when I shifted emphasis.
