The styles of silver Athens tetradrachms changed over time. The one you posted has a test cut, done to verify it was fully silver and not a clad fake. Test cuts usually reduce the value, especially when it damages the design. The obverse of course is Athena, on reverse the Greek letters by the owl are Alpha, Theta, Epsilon meaning Athens. The dies were often bigger than the size of the silver so it's common for them to be missing part of the design, such as the full crest of the helmet, part of Athena's nose gone, etc. Examples with a full crest are scarce and more valuable. There's lots of info on the internet about these, here is one:

For value you can search sold listings on ebay and online auction results such as on CNG Coins.

There are a lot of modern fake Athens tetradrachms. The style and weight are important. I've seen a couple fakes with test cuts. I'm no expert but the OP example looks genuine. I would not buy it due to the test cut and rough surfaces. I own six of them, all bought from well known ancient coin dealers. One of mine is the newer style, an ancient fake plated silver called a fourree, you can see the plating on the edge. I bought it knowing it was a fourree.

Here is link to modern fakes, it's wise to buy from experienced dealers:
