Interesting and beautiful railroad bridges, thanks for sharing! Quote: here is the first stone arch bridge. [Completed July 1st, 1835] That was really early, I had to read up on this one. Apparently, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad was the first US railroad opened for public service, in 1830. The company existed until 1987, at which time it merged into CSX Transportation (which is still in operation). And they still use that 1835 bridge!

Just noticed this one, with two trains crossing paths. The bridge is somewhat obscured by the smoke and steam.

That is an incredibly finely detailed vignette! Lots of details on the locomotive's boiler, detailed rods, etc. And four tiny guys doing various kinds of work around the tracks . Really nice!

One more that's pertinent, though not really a stock or bond. This was a promotional card that U.S. Bank Note Co. printed for the 1987 convention of the International Plate Printers, Die Stampers & Engravers Union. I'm not certain all of these are railroad bridges, but most are.

American Bank Note Co. also had numerous bridge vignettes. They were featured on a panel from the ABN Archive series.
