First Finds 2024.a Fake, A Key , And A 300 Year Old!

ironhorse Valued Member Canada 363 Posts	Posted 03/19/2024 10:58 am Hey hey diggers! and collectors! Here we go for the new year out in the fields. I got back to some of my best fields from the past to see what new finds they had waiting for me. My first good silver was a 1913 25 cents...great start! Next was a severely underweight imitation of an 1832 Nova Scotia halfpenny token..a first for me! I just had to continue my roll with key date Victoria 10 cents..last fall I got a1875H 10 cents and was very happy with that find...first Victoria silver of the year and it's a 1887! Just wow. And finally, heres one I've been chasing for 29 years..a big first for me, a pistareen! 300 years old and looking great for its age! A little scarcer Segovia mint. Great to be back out and making the finds, theres no guarantees in detecting so I'm very grateful to have recovered what have so far and had such great results. ironhorse Valued Member Canada 363 Posts	Posted 03/19/2024 1:36 pm @Brandmeister This group of finds is based on about 15 hours of detecting over 3 days and at 3 different locations All of my sites are in agricultural fields that are regularly ploughed so it's different every year. But every site doesn't hold treasures and it's a pure luck that valuable coins are even there in the mix Report this Post to the Staff
